With a budget of almost IDR 12 billion (for 550 laptops, each will costs about IDR 21.8 million), not forgetting that many believes that most of the member of the DPR-RI can not actually use a computer, the plan was criticized by many. The Indonesian blogosphere reacted heavily against the plan (you can read entries of Yulian Firdaus Hendriyana, Brahmasta Adipradana, and others). Even though the plan had been canceled, it still hurts that the House of Representatives who were elected by the people, seemed to literally miss the point of representing the people. [...]

saya tidak habis pikir dengan para wakil rakyat kita ini anggaran untuk laptop per buah 21 jt,sedangkan anggaran untuk musibah dan subsidi raskin tidak pernah di perjuangkan, apa dengan laptop kinerja wakil rakyat kita makin baik or tambah bobrok, apa mereka bisa mengoprasikan teknologi canggih itu? sedangkan ijazah saja banyak yg palsu, kalo hanya untuk pamer n gengsi doang tuk apa, semoga para wakil kita ini berfikir realita n konsisten dgn memperjuangkan aspirasi rakyat bukan pribadi. ayo dong jangan kalah sama tetangga negara kita,negara kita ini kaya dan banyak yg pintar tapi jangan pinter kebelinger lho,laptop kan ada yg 4 jt kenapa harus yg 21 jt, saya tak habis pikir dan secanggih apa perangkat itu? kumaha wakil rakyat teh ngan dasi hungkul tapi otak eweuh…..

Prioritas utama wakil rakyat ya gimana caranya biar rakyat ini sejahtera…

Kalau rakyat udah sejahtera, sok, mau ngapain aja silakan…

kebijakan yang sebenernya bagus, tapi bukan di waktu yang tepat dan kondisi yang tepat. di saat negara lagi butuh duit banyak buat perbaikan sana sini akibat bencana alam, di saat elpiji langka di pasaran dan butuh ekspor, di saat harga beras melonjak dan butuh subsidi dari pemerintah, di saat negara lagi miskin kayak gini, masak dana segitu banyak harus keluar atas nama ‘kinerja’ siy.

sebelum mereka (anggota DPR.red) dibeliin laptop,kayaknya harus ada kajian mendalam tentang peningkatan kinerja yang akan terjadi dan keuntungannya buat rakyat, apakah sebanding dengan dana 12 milyar yang dihabiskan.
