We know that world is full of uncertainty. Yesterday comes as a history. It has many stories to argue and understand. History is our main source for learning. We, humans, understand this. We keep our histories, learn from it, and try to figure out what inside the mystery of future.

Well, We think we understand the world. We try to make our own conclusion. We think that we know. We believe we can predict. Several economic analyses done by economic experts. Policies created by governments. Technology inventions founded by engineers. Sales forecasts made by the enterprises. We are chasing the future. Some people with optimism. Some others with fearfulness.

Some people put their passion hard work on it. Working more than twelve hours a day. They are preparing for their future. They are searching for success, a word that driving most of us now, but not many of us can really define it. But again, the world is full of uncertainty. All predictions can be wrong. Beside that, there are several occasions that you’ll never predict. People on Twin Tower didn’t know that a plane will crush World Trade Center at 9/11. If you are an entrepreneur, there must be a possibilities when even your colleague will try to bring you down. If you are an engineer, you’ll never know that your knowledge will never used anymore in the future.

In Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell tell us that all the successful people not only rely on their hard work to gained their success. One example is Bill Gates, who is one of the luckiest person in the world. He is one the first people who have skills and capabilities in microcomputers, after he and his friends have a chance to spend thousands of hours programming in several labs. It’s true that without passion and hard work he cannot be as successful as now. But instead of that, he was coming just in time. When microcomputers started to rise, and people with capabilities like him were hardly found.

So in the world of uncertainty, to whom we should rely on? We can design our life, but unexpected things keep coming. How can we manage it? How can we face it?

This question keep banging my head. It popped out several times and after that I tried to forget it. After several days, when I was driving, it popped again. But at this time. Something in my mind said to me that the answer is easy.

The answer is God.

The only one, that we can rely on is God.

I have a time when I feel I was very lucky. All the good things keep coming to me. All things that I wanted came to be true. When I tried to compare myself now, before, and at that time, there is only one difference. At that time, I put my everything to God. I kept myself praying for everything whole heartedly.

Now I realize that we are still a human, who can predict, invent, or making conclusion. We can put our hard work for everything. But the thing is, our knowledge is limited, and the future is always a mystery. Our believe could be an answer. God will help us. Sometime it feels too hard for us to understand. But that’s the beauty of it.

Our world still have many of things that have to learn. As like mentioned by Camerlengo Patrick McKenna at Angels and Demons.

Science and religion are not enemies. There are simply some things that science is too young to understand.

I do agree with those quote and I do agree with the absolute answer, the only One, God. I don’t bother a lot with religion, but I do believe in God. Religion is teaching us, but never safe us. It’s God who save us.
